Music

Each Biblical character has entrance and exit music to enhance the dramatic experience. All the music used is with permission from generous individual artists. It has been an interesting road to find all these artists - God has made alot of different appointments.

Jana Stanfield
"Increase My Faith," "If I Were Brave," and "Brave Faith" are used by permission from Jana Stanfield. All of these selections can be found on her double CD Brave Faith. Jana is a colleague from the National Speakers Association (NSA). I first heard her music at an NSA Convention, where she generously offered for any of the NSA speakers to use her music for their programs. That was when I had the first thought about getting permission directly from musicians, rather than using a licensing agreement. She performs concerts both nationally and internationally. You can find out more about her, or order her beautiful music at www.janastanfield.com.

Werner John
"Luna," "Longing" and "Serenade" and other selections from Cedar Song are used by permission from Werner John. Werner composes and performs using Native American flutes. He also makes Native American flutes. At a craft fair I heard some hauntingly beautiful music and went to look for the source. I found Werner John, his handmade wood flutes and his music. He has been kind enough to allow me to use his music and it is a wonderful addition to the program. If you are looking for meditative music - check out his web site. He has other lovely CDs. You can find out more about his music at www.woodflutes.com or contact him at 1-800-356-0987.

Karl Anthony
Karl Anthony has given me permission to use "Life Is A Dance," "The Gift of Love," and "Keeper of the Heart" which can be found on his Live CD. He is also a member of the National Speakers Association. It was at an NSA event that I had the privilege of seeing Karl and his lovely wife perform - I was blessed. It was from that event that I made the connection with Karl, and he has been generous in allowing me to use his music. I encourage you to visit his web site at www.karlanthony.com for further information about his music or to find out about his performances.

Hirtzon Velasquez
Hirtzon Velasquez has allowed me to use "Suenos Entretejidos" which he wrote and is found on the CD Kantu. I was in San Francisco and heard music playing outside. I introduced myself and purchased their CD. He was kind enough to allow me to use one of his songs. For further information about his intriguing music, you can email him at andesmusic@msn.com or call him at 650-871-6719.

Paul Harrison
Paul Harrison is a former neighbor. I heard that he was doing some song writing, so I approached him about the possibility of writing some songs for my characters. I thank God for giving me that thought! Paul has written FOUR songs that accompany my characters out of the room. "Martha's Song," "Whatcha' Gonna Do?," "Extraordinary Love" and "Conceivable" are all his creations. Find out more about Paul's music at www.paulharrisonmusic.com.

The Braeded Chord
At a Women's Conference I met Sharon and Doris of The Braeded Chord. I was so blessed by their work, that I approached them about writing a song for one of my characters - Puah. They wrote "What Shall I Fear."

Mary Dolan
Got a call from a gal, Mary Dolan, who was interested in Biblical storytelling. After talking for about an hour, she mentioned that she had written some music - which she had recorded on CDs. So, as the conversation closed, I suggested that we exchange products. I sent her my DVD, she sent me her music CDs. Frankly, I wasn't expecting much. After receiving the CDs, I called her, astonished - I was so blown away by her music. Mary is starting to do some storytelling - but her greatest gift (in my book) is writing music! I am blessed to use several of her songs, including my theme song "Set the Captives Free." Then she wrote a song for Bathsheba! She has two terrific CDs. Sure glad she called me! Contact her at www.cdbaby.com/marydolan2.

Raymond Weidner
Raymond Weidner, who is a talented Director of Music at Woods Presbyterian Church in Severna Park, has allowed me to used several of his original works. You can contact Ray about his music at ray@fpcly.org.

Alan Becknell
Some of the instrumental music was written by Alan Becknell and is performed by Alan and his son Francis. I thank Alan, his son Francis, and his family for their continued support of this ministry.

Janine Reed
"Your Favor Is Coming My Way" is used by permission of Janine Reed. Contact her at janinereedmusic@yahoo.com.

So, you can see that God has richly blessed me with gifted and generous musicians. My sincere thanks to each and every one of you.
